A view of the docks of Kydonia

The Docks was the harbour of Kydonia, Messara, in the 5th century BCE.

History[edit | edit source]

During the Peloponnesian War, the city became the hotspot of inflamed relations between the local military and the merchants. A textile merchant asked the Spartan misthios Kassandra to help with the matter, and the docks were one of the locations he pointed her to.[1]

In the docks, a group of soldiers had surrounded a group of merchants, and one of the latter begged Kassandra to help them. She ended up killing the soldiers.[1]
