Desiderius Erasmus (October 28 1466 - July 12 1536) was a Dutch Renaissance humanist and a Catholic priest and theologian. The Assassins rescued him from being killed by Templars. He was targeted for his criticism of the Catholic Church, at the time under Rodrigo Borgia.
