Demophanes (died 428 BCE) was a friend of Alkibiades and a judge of the Olympic Games.
During their customary celebrations of the Olympics Demophanes participated in a banquet with Alkibiades and their common friend and former Olympic champion Kallias at Leonidaion. However, the food and drink at the banquet were poisoned, and all participants save for Alkibiades and Kallias died. After Alkibiades fell ill, his friend the Spartan misthios Kassandra investigated, finding Demophanes dead at Leonidaion, among others.[1]
