The Daughters of Lerion was the collective term for the daughters of the wealthy East Anglian ealdorman Lerion, who claimed lineage from the House of Wuffingas. Namely, it consisted of Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia.
History
In 864, Lerion, with assurance of support from Ælla, the king of Northumbria and a Order of the Ancients member, sought to overthrow Burgred, the king of Mercia, and merge the two kingdoms into one, under the Wuffingas dynasty. However, his plot was uncovered by King Edmund, who arrested and executed for treason. His remaning daughters, fearing they would suffer the same fate, fled their estate into the The Fens[1], where they devoted themselves into the occult and sorcery to plot their revenge against their father's killers.[2]
