Hand thrown weapons were not extensively used in ancient China, but there were three main types of such weapon.
The darts were simple arrowhead-shaped projectiles, when the more exotic golden coin dart was an actual coin with sharp edges, and the flying steel olive was a kind of metal ball also thrown without the aid of a sling.
