The [[Sancaktar Hayrettin Mosque|Sancaktar Mosque]] was one part of a larger monastery complex, now demolished. Today it is known as a "Mescidi", a small mosque. I'm not sure when it was built but the style appears to be late [[Byzantine Empire|Byzantine]] - perhaps something from the fourteenth century, the height of the Palaiologian dynasty. A very simple structure made out of rough brick and simple shapes, it doesn't always appear on many must-see lists.
