The youngest boy of a large family, Eogan was destined for a life in the Church at birth. He dutifully fasted, prayed, and learned to read his scriptures.
As he rose in the Church, he realized that many friars and priests were, in thought and deed, spiritually lax. For himself, he resolved to remain steadfast.
He held his own beliefs deep within.
