For many years, there have been tales of a monk, a master of the bō, wandering the countryside aiding the victims of war and corruption. This monk asked for nothing in return save the chance to educate the poor and vulnerable in the ways of self-defense.
Meiran sees the bō as a great equalizer, as deadly as the costly katana of the samurai but available to all. Now, as age brings his wandering days to an end, he has chosen to continue his mission and bring the art of the bō to all who will listen.
