Dark Horse Comics is an American comics publishing house, as well as one of the largest independent comic book publishers.[1]

History

Dark Horse Comics was created in 1986 by Mike Richardson in Milwaukie, Oregon. Dark Horse Comics publishes, and is best known for, many licensed titles (such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Star Wars) as well as creator-owned comics (such as Hellboy and The Umbrella Academy).[1]

In September 2019, Cavan Scott was approached by Dark Horse Comics, and asked to travel to Montreal, Canada to work on a secret project. During his time in the studio, Scott was walked through the basics of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, the next title in the Assassin's Creed series. Production on the comic began almost immediately.[2] Announced on July 2020, Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Song of Glory will be written by Scott with artwork by Martín Túnica and Michael Atiyeh.[3]
