Daniel Cross was a descendant of the Assassin Nikolai Orelov. He is a recovering drug addict and alcoholic, who is first seen in the comic in a psychiatrist's office.
- From the little information currently known about Assassin's Creed: The Fall, it sounds as if Daniel Cross is going through the Bleeding effect, as it is stated that he has unsettling visions of a possible past life, despite not having encountered an Animus as of yet.
- He presumably is either being held by the Templars or due to his heritage, the Assassins, as the Animus (confirmed by Warren Vidic) is not in the public domain.
