The Danaides Camp was a campsite of the Daughters of Artemis in Valley of Dreams in Argolis, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the camp, killing the head huntress of the Daughters and claiming their valuables.[1]
Trivia
- The name of the camp references the fifty daughters of King of Argos Danaos, who were collectively called Danaides. The group included Hypermnestra.
