The Dagger of Brutus was a weapon available in Rome, obtained along with the personal armor of Marcus Junius Brutus.
Use
It is heavily implied in the Romulus Scrolls to be the same weapon that Brutus used to kill Gaius Julius Caesar. The dagger was unlocked and made usable by collecting all the Keys of Romulus from the different Lairs of Romulus, and was found in the same underground chamber as the Armor of Brutus. It was the best short blade weapon available to Ezio in the 16th century.
Trivia
- The Dagger of Brutus is modeled after a Roman Pugio, a type of dagger used as a secondary weapon by Roman soldiers during the 1st Century AD.
- When Ezio wields the Dagger of Brutus, enemy morale is reduced by 20 points – this means that ordinary guards and crossbowmen will run away after the death of only one regular guard.
- The dagger's kill animations are unique, and differ from those of other short blade weapons that Ezio can wield.
- Oddly enough, when the Dagger of Brutus is equipped, the weapon model appears to be fused with the ordinary "Dagger" model. This is most likely not intended and may be a bug.
