Behind the scenes

Aella's Bardiche is a weapon introduced in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. A bardiche is poleaxe with the lower end of the blade braced against the haft, and first appeared in the late 1200s. As such, this weapon's name is both a misnomer and historically inaccurate, as the depicted weapon is not a bardiche and predates them by at least 400 years.
