The Condottiero was once a wealthy nobleman from the city of Florence. However, in 1498, the monk Girolamo Savonarola charmed the condottiero into serving him by getting even more than his wealth and power. He was killed the same year by Ezio Auditore da Firenze to reduce Savonarola's power in Florence.
Final Words
Ezio: You wear a noble's clothes. How is it Savonarola charmed you?
Condottiero: Wealth and power do not ensure contentment. I wanted even more...
Ezio: And now, instead, you have nothing. Questo non è che un atto dovuto (This is something that must be done)... Requiescat in pace (Rest in peace).
