Climbing The Ranks was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
Description
Girolamo Savonarola had the Captain Guard under his control. As Ezio Auditore approached to confront him, he stated that he had devised this trap for those brave enough to oppose his superior. Many opponents had already been killed by Savonarola's lieutenant.
By the time Ezio killed most of the Captain's men, he began to mock the Assassin for hiding his face with hooded robes.
Dialogue
Ezio entered a courtyard.
- Ezio: Something's wrong here. Where is everyone...?
The Captain Guard appeared on top of a scaffolding.
- Captain Guard: Ah! Another challenger! Excellent! Savonarola warned me that some would oppose our rule, and so I devised this little trap - to ferret out those foolish enough to play at hero. It's proven to be both entertaining and effective. Incominciamo! (Let us begin!)
