The term "cipher" is a form of address used by certain members of the First Civilization to identify individuals integral to their plans. The term was used predominantly by Juno to address the Helix research analyst[1] and the Helix initiate;[2] it was also used by Jupiter to address Desmond Miles, at one stage.[3]
