Adrastos was the king of Argos and Sikyon in Greek mythology.
When Polynikes came to Argos following a dispute with his brother Eteokles over the rulership of the city of Thebes, he pleaded his case to Adrastos. Adrastos granted him an army to help him, and with six others, Polynikes marched to Thebes to challenge his brother.[1] Following the conflict, Adrastos retrieved the remains of the slain leaders and interred them at the Tomb of the Epigones within the Sacred Plains of Demeter in Attika.[2]
