Cerball mac Dúnlainge (died 888) was King of Osraige from 842 until his death.
Biography
In 879, he sent a letter to Flann Sinna, demanding a meeting to resolve the matter of pagans and druids littering the land.[1]
Around 882, after Abbot Eogan mac Cartaigh had been unveiled as a pagan conspirator and leader of the Druid cult, the Children of Danu, Cerball and the other kings summoned Flann to discuss implementing a Druid inquisition. As a result, Flann initially agreed and demanded that every druid will either reform or be exiled from Ireland, much to Ciara's dismay at Flann's apparent betrayal.[2]
