The Carolingian Longsword was a longsword which originated from the Carolingian Empire in central Europe during the Early Middle Ages.
It originally belonged to the Anglo-Saxon ealdorman Lerion and was kept in his own personal villa. Following his death, the sword disappeared and was subsequently acquired by the Viking Eivor.[1]
