"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the armor of God, the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked"

Cardinals are members of the Catholic Church. They play a major role in the Assassin's Creed series. Some of the most significant Cardinals include Cesare and Rodrigo Borgia (who would later become Pope Alexander VI).

Appearances

Cardinals can be found in the Vaticano district of Rome and the surrounding areas such as outside the Castel Sant'Angelo, at any point when Ezio is able to freely roam the city. They're easily recognizable by their red or white clothes and wearing a scarlet galero (a wide brimmed hat), a zucchetto (a small skullcap) or a biretta (a cap with four peaks with tuft on top). They also feature heavily in some of the missions such as Mass Exodus and Seeing Red.
