A cape is a piece of clothing which may be used as part of a light armor.
History
During the Italian Renaissance, the Italian Assassin Giovanni Auditore da Firenze wore a cape with his Assassins' robes.[1] Upon his imprisonment,[2] he passed the outfit to his son Ezio,[3] who kept it after Giovanni's execution.[4] In his own lifetime, Ezio collected a number of capes. Some, like the Medici and Auditore capes, were gifts accrued due to his good work, and all could be custom dyed by tailors without distracting from their patterns.[5][6]
In Victorian era London, the British Assassin Evie Frye also collected capes which better suited her stealthier approach to Assassin work.[7]
