Cap Français, known as Cap-Haïtien in modern times, is a commune of Haiti. It was the former capital city of the colony of Saint-Domingue.

History

During the Seven Years' War, the Templar Shay Cormac sent shipments of armaments in exchange for medical supplies to assist the British in establishing a foothold in the city and to further the Templars' own interests.[1] After the first trade, the Templars sent a second wave of arms in exchange for more medical supplies.[2]

In late 1791, Haitian Assassin Dutty Boukman was captured in a battle with the French Army near Acul.[3] His fellow Assassins decided not to rescue him, hoping that Boukman's sacrifice would increase the fire of the Revolution, and Boukman was subsequently executed. His head was impaled on a stake in the public square of Cap Français.[4] During the following years Eseosa would remain at Cap Français, overseeing the Revolution's efforts, before leaving for Davenport Homestead in 1804.[3]
