The Café Théâtre was Arno Dorian's base of operations in Paris, France during the French Revolution. In it, Arno attended plays, kept his armor and weapons, and trained to hone his Assassin skills.

History

Opened in lle Saint-Louis in 1759, the Café Théâtre was one of Paris' premiere coffee houses for the decades intellectuals, poets, philosophers and actors flocked to its tables, and the salon was a centre for political debate and discussion.

The Café was bought by the Assassins Brotherhood to act as a intelligence gathering network, keeping the Assassins appraised of current news within Paris.

Over the years, Cafés like the Café Procope gradually supplanted it in prominence. by the 1790' Cafe Théâtre was shabby, rundown where it was more likely to host a second-rate bawdy comedy show than an impassioned debate.

However in 1791 the fate of the rundown Café Théâtre was changed when Stewardship of the building was handed to Novice Assassin Arno Dorian from the French Assassin Council.

Under Arno's care the Café was restored to its former glory, he renovated and invested money back into the building bringing back the clientele that it had lost and its former prestige.

The Assassins continued to operate out of the Café Théâtre long after the French Revolution all the way up to the First World War.

Renovations

Upon his arrival at the Café Théâtre Arno meets Charlotte Gouze, a member of the French Brotherhood who runs the Cafe, she encourages Arno to renovate the building to gain Intel but also to gain revenue. Once Arno had enough coin he was able to speak with the Intendant who administered the building and he could buy renovations.

Ground Floor

This renovation allowed for an upgrade to the Café Kitchen, but it also opened up a blocked of area of the Café which was turned into a club hall, a location for local Assassins to meet.

Hallway

This renovation allowed for an upgrade to the Hallway within the Cafe and added new artwork to the walls and restored and tidied up the decor.

Exterior

This renovation reopened the courtyard well and the surrounding area. The well acted as a route into the tunnels below the Café that also connected to the Assassin Sanctuary.

Upper Floors

This upgrade renovated all of the upper rooms within the Café: Training Room, Trophy Room, and Arno's Room.

Finishing Touches

The last renovation and the most expensive was the building of a new tunnel under the Café to connect the existing tunnels to the east bank of the district.
