Bull sharks are a group of shark species commonly found worldwide in warm, shallow waters along coasts and in the rivers.

During the early 18th century, the pirates Edward Kenway and Adéwalé would hunt the bull sharks for their valuable bones and skin. The sharks could also be found roaming the underwater shipwreck sites, deterring the divers from recovering the sunken treasures.
