I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name?
This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given.

The Acre Citadel was a huge fortress located in the southern rich district of Acre, as well as the main residence of Richard I of England during the Third Crusade.

History

The citadel was essentially a small town that was heavily fortified against outside attacks, with huge walls and battlements. It contained the quarters of William of Montferrat, a Templar who governed the area whilst Richard was absent fighting the Saracens.[1]

In 1191, a team of Assassins were sent by their Mentor, Al-Mualim, to keep William inside of the Citadel.[2] Al-Mualim's team of Assassins eliminated Templar patrols,[3] Crusaders,[4] and William's personal bodyguard, Isembart. From him, they learned that William was planning an ambush for Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.[5] The team then disrupted the ambush,[6] allowing Altaïr to infiltrate the heavily guarded fortress, eliminate the archers patrolling its perimeter and then assassinate William.[1]

A couple of years later, Altaïr and Maria Thorpe met at the top of the citadel's tower, where they made love and subsequently conceived a son.[7]
