I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
The Acre Citadel was a huge fortress located in the southern rich district of Acre and also the main residence of Richard I of England during the Third Crusade.
The citadel was secured by huge walls and operated similar to a small town within itself. It contained the quarters of William of Montferrat, a Templar, who governed the area whilst Richard was absent fighting the Saracens.
During 1191, the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad infiltrated the heavily guarded fortress and assassinated William.
A couple of years later, Altaïr and Maria Thorpe met atop of the citadel's tower, where they made love and subsequently conceived a son.
