Eivor stands in front of Brother's Cave's entrance

Brother's Cave was a cave on an island, in the east of Scotland's Isle of Skye, and was north of the abandoned village of Inverarish.

History

During the 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan traveled to Brother's Cave, after finding a vault pedestal within the Cave of Gold. Entering the cave, Eivor probed the cave and found snakes surrounding the area, but noticed the shard for the pedestal was missing. Eivor found a note detailing that two brothers found the shard and headed back to their home at Inverarish. Thus, Eivor followed the lead and left the cave.[1]
