At the time when [[Assassin's Creed]] takes place, the city had been recently occupied by the forces of [[Richard The Lionheart]] after his army took the city from the Muslim army, which formerly occupied it. It is from this point that the Christian crusaders are launching further attacks into the Holy Land and as such the city is mainly influenced by western European culture and is full of Christian guards. In Acre there are docks; at the docks you are to assassinate Sibrand. The docks have many thugs and drunken sailors. Be careful around the sailors; they will push you into the water and you will drown. In Acre there is also a cathedral which has a '''Templar''' on top of it and is one of the highest points in the game. It is also one of the harder buildings to climb. In Acre there are more than just one set of flags; there are three: the '''Templar''' flags, the '''Hospitalier''' flags, and the '''Teutonic''' flags. Acre is a much more European city than the others like Damascus or Jerusalem.
