In 1749, the Assassin ship, the Aquila, was built in Brest by the French Brotherhood at the request of Achilles Davenport.[1]
In 1944, members of the 2nd Infantry Division of the United States Armed Forces advanced on the city under heavy machine gun fire.[2]
In 2012, a photograph of US forces advancing on Brest was later acquired by the Assassin Clay Kaczmarek and hidden in the Animus for his successor, Desmond Miles to find.
