The Blacksmith (real name Auguste Oberlin) is an unlockable multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. He uses a large hammer as his weapon and appears in the single player mode of Brotherhood as a Templar Agent. To unlock the Blacksmith, the player has to reach level 15.

Unique Moves

Backbreaker (Low Profile, Front)

The Blacksmith walks up to his target and grabs them by the back and behind the legs with both of his hands, before lifting his victim high above his head and violently slamming their back onto his knee, snapping their spine. Finished with his target, he flips them off of his knee and drops their lifeless body to the ground, before standing up and carrying on as usual.

  • Extra 1: Dark Blue Apron
  • Extra 2: Baby Blue Apron

  • Advanced: Color of plate armor changed to gold, gauntlet and belt adorned with metal, added leather vambrace over gauntlet.
  • Superior: Apron has added studs, added braids in beard.
  • Elite: Larger spaulders.
