Bennett was a British citizen who lived in London in the Victorian era.
In 1868, Bennett worked at a barrel depot, often making his rounds through Southwark to deliver barrels of beer with his assistant, Samuel Frye. Bennett was confronted by the Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye, who were investigating the murder of Louis Prescott. He briefly answered their questions, before pointing them towards Samuel.[1]
