Achilles' Bow was a legendary bow which was once allegedly wielded by the Greek hero Achilles. Red, with bronze decorations, the bow was as remarkable in looks as it was in its deadliness.
During the 5th century BCE, the bow had ended up in the possession of a mercenary operating in Greece. The Spartan misthios Kassandra took the bow for herself after defeating the mercenary during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
