The Mayan settlement of Cerros in the country

Belize is a country located on the northeastern coast of Central America, which also possesses a coast along the Caribbean Sea. It is bordered by Mexico to the north, and Guatemala to the south and west.

Belize contained the site of the former Mayan settlement Cerros, which was founded in 350 BCE. In 1774, the site was visited by the Colonial Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton during his search for William Kidd's Cutlass.[1]
