Bayezid II (December 3, 1447 - May 26, 1512) was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1481 to 1512. The Sultan welcomed many escaped refugees from the Inquisition of Isabella I of Castile and Manuel I of Portugal. The King of Spain, Ferdinand I, under the influence of the Templars, tried to send his own agents with the refugees, but was foiled by the Assassins, who took their places.
