The Baths of Caracalla (Italian: Terme di Caracalla) were Roman public baths built in Rome between 212 and 216, during the reign of the Emperor Caracalla. Their remains survive to this day.

A typical Roman male began in the hot bath, moved to a tepid bath, jumped into cold water and then finished in an outdoor pool.[1]
