They could be played as third-person shooters, similar to Metal Gear, it is a stealth game at its core. Plus, do you really think Ubisoft would just go make an Assassin's Creed with the mechanics of Splinter Cell? No, they would either use it as a basis, but change a lot of mechanics, or they would probably make a whole new set of game mechanics. Also, it wouldn't be a shooter unless assassins ran around like Desmond did in ACIII rambunctiously and unstealthily.

I'm done arguing / talking / debating (whatever you want to call it lol). I know from experience that there's no reasoning with the part of the fanbase that doesn't want a modern day Assassin's Creed, so I'll shut my mouth.

They could be played as third-person shooters but, similar to Metal Gear, they are stealth games at their core. Plus, do you really think Ubisoft would just go make an Assassin's Creed with the gameplay mechanics of Splinter Cell? No, they would either use it as a basis, but change a lot of mechanics, or they would probably make a whole new set of game mechanics; they would do something so that the gameplay would involve Assassin tactics. Also, it wouldn't be a shooter unless Assassins ran around like Desmond did in ACIII, rambunctiously and unstealthily.
