Look at this picture of Shivaji assassinating Afzal Khan kind of looks like he's using a hidden blade. He resisted against the Mughal Empire in the 17th century which could also be a good time for a story. Riding elephants would be a very cool for gameplay and the animals to hunt would be much more interesting as it would have animals like Tigers and Monkeys. It would be really cool if they put in a Katar maybe as the characters favourite weapon.
