Baba is an ancient Egyptian detification of the hamadryas baboon, considered as a god of the Duat. As a first-born son of Osiris, Baba was viewed as a devourer of the unrighteous souls whose heart weighed heavy against Maat.

In the 1st century BCE, a statue of Baba was erected in the Adorer of Thoth Tomb, possibly due to baboons being sacred to Thoth as well, where bandits had made their camp in. During the same timeframe, a bow with his motif was used by the Medjay turned Hidden One Bayek.
