The Athenian Pteruges was a pteruges obtained by the misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War.

The pteruges were most notably worn by phalanx troops of the Athenian Army allowing them to be quick and nimble while fighting on front lines in battles and conflicts. During the war, Kassandra could purchase the pteruges from blacksmiths or loot it from chests and bodies across Greece.[1]
