The Athenian Gauntlets were gauntlets which originated from Athens during the 5th century BCE, mainly worn by its soldiers.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this piece of armor in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]
