The Atalanta Sandals was a pair of sandals which had allegedly belonged to Atalanta, a princess of Arkadia who lived during the 6th century BCE. The sandals were a part of an armor set attributed to various heroes in Greek mythology.
During the Peloponnesian War, the sandals were in the possession of a mercenary. The Spartan misthios Kassandra hunted down the mercenary and claimed the sandals for herself.[1]
