As many of you are aware, from time to time we face an issue of ridiculously old blogs and forum pages being bumped up by anons and people who just don't know better. I think the latest record was a bump of a blog from 2010. To end this stuff, at least for a time, I propose a vote to purge the forum threads older than 2012, since anything older seems hardly relevant at this point. | As many of you are aware, from time to time we face an issue of ridiculously old blogs and forum pages being bumped up by anons and people who just don't know better. As many of you are aware, from time to time we face an issue of ridiculously old blogs and forum pages being bumped up by anons and people who just don't know better. I think the latest record was a bump of a blog from 2010. To end this stuff, at least for a time, I propose a vote to archive a non-editable versions of the pages for record-keeping purposes, and purge the forum threads older than 2012, since anything older seems hardly relevant at this point.
Also, if you're not aware, if a blog's comments have been inactive for 30 days, registered people can't reply to it anymore. Yet somehow, anons are still able to do so, and keep pointlessly bumping them. This should be remedied.
Have a vote, on me. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 15:31, February 3, 2014 (UTC)

- I would recommend an amendment to this proposal, saying that forum posts older than a set age (say, five times the inactivity period) are automatically backed-up (as a non editable page) and deleted, so that we at least have a record of past conversations. I do however think blog posts are another matter; one which I am not quite sure how we should approach.
In general, however, I agree with your proposal. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 15:45, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
