Basically, if you guys feel uncomfortable about citing to Wikipedia for the exceptions you're making, then by all means, cite a more authoritative, real-world source. I'm down for that.

I think I should reframe this policy then, as citing to any outside source, not just Wikipedia. I think people wouldn't have missed the point so much if I had done this earlier.
