The Nine is the list of nine people Altaïr must kill to restore his rank at the Creed. This list is composed by:
- Tamir the Merchant
- Talal the Slave Trader
- Garnier De Naplouse aka "The Doctor", Grand Master of the Knights Hospitalier
- Abul Nuqoud aka The Merchant King
- William of Montferrat
- Majd Addin
- Sibrand, leader of the Knights Teutonic
- Jubair
- Robert De Sable
Later, it is revealed what the death of these 9 men is for.
