Assassin's Creed (webcomic)

The Assassin's Creed comic is a small comic created by Penny Arcade, which focuses on video games and video gaming culture. The comic is drawn in a very cartoony style, focusing on a mission of Altaïr in Acre. While the comic is drawn from Altaïr's point of view, there is also dialogue from Al Mualim, who doesn't appear in the comic.

Plot

Altaïr was ordered by Al Mualim to hunt down and assassinate a man in Acre. Once he arrives he blended in with the crowd, following a man with a green cloak, who is strong built. Altaïr swung from ledge to ledge onto the rooftops to take a closer eye on his target. However his target already knows of Altaïr's presence. The man kept his guard up, buying oranges, while Altaïr awaited his time to attack his target. Suddenly startled Altaïr as he suddenly stood behind him on the rooftop, trying to humiliate Altaïr by referring to him as 'One of Al Mualim's pups'. They both engage each other, but stronger as Altaïr the man is in advantage and managed to dodge any attack Altaïr made with his weapons. While fighting he does warn Altaïr about Al Mualim's intentions, claiming he will slowly take away Altaïr's freedom and even kill him. Altaïr elbowed his face and performed the leap with his Hidden Blade to finish his target off. But before he could do so, the man punched Altaïr back onto the ground. Altaïr made his final strike by headbutting and stabbing him inside his stomach with the Hidden Blade. The story ends with Altaïr closing the dead man's eyes. Al Mualim asks if Altaïr's target had said something unusual, but Altaïr responds that he didn't say anything of consequence.
