Animus Anomalies were genetic mnemonic data fragments scattered around the virtual representations of both Anglo-Saxon England and Norway rendered by the Animus HR-8.5.
Layla Hassan was able to locate several of them while reliving the memories of the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir. Each Anomaly involved a digital platforming-puzzle inside the simulation that Layla had to complete. Nearing the completion of each Anomaly, the echoes of ancient voices could be heard.
