Finger amputation.

"This amputation is part of the initiation into the Hashshashin sect, which the Assassins are based on." To me, this sounds like the real life assassins did that. I thought that was an in-game contrivance? If it's real, and they really did do that, could someone source that? And, if not, could it please be reworded? theres some production art of ezio with two hidden blades on the same hand, it really cool looking. i dont know what practical purpose that would have, but its possible. CarloGrimaldi 00:40, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

Hidden blades have changed loads over the years..... The most recent I've seen are one's that if flicked one way, the blade comes out the wirst (Like Ezio's and Altair's) and if balled into a fist, a blade will come out from the knuckles making a punch attack more fatal...... I've even seen ballistics hidden blades that when the pin is pulled, gunpowder ignites and the knife shoots out at distance like a throwing knife........ EchoAltair 00:52, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

Guys, this article needs a History section, comprising everyhting that happened and explaining exactly what the hell is a hidden blade, not it's "uses". Like, when it was invented, who was the first known guy to use it, the rituals involving it in the crusade, the importance it had in Altaïr's mission, the upgrades made via Codex, the reconstruction by Leonardo da Vinci, etc. -- D. I know how 'real' hidden blades work (much different to gameplay usage) and I also know why they were invented but don't know how I would put it in the article without it relating to the gameplay.......EchoAltair 00:58, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

most people have an idea on how to make a springloaded blade pop out. but how do you make it retract ?
