Since this assassin was operating during the time of cleopatea in egypt(clearly was, as she brought "cleo" to her end) does any one else think Amunet will be featured in the upcomming AC origins which is set in this period, or do people think this character will be retconned out of the AC timeline? {{User:Aegritudo/sig}} 17:47, July 19, 2017 (UTC) | |||

This would make a really interesting AC game. I know that beacuse it's an environment somewhat similar to that of AC1, it probably won't happen, but still... --LBCCCP 02:03, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
- I totally agree! Especially with the addition of a snake as a 'weapon'. It would be rad to play as a female character, to see how the dynamics of the game changes! (Spikepit 02:46, January 11, 2010 (UTC))
- I'd actually be kind of disappointed, seeing as I don't understand why Cleopatra is listed as a "tyrant". What she did was no different than a plethora of male leaders (past, present, future), and her liasons with Caesar and Mark Antony were merely to secure Egypt's freedom (which one can really read more about on her Wiki page). I would, however, love to see an AC game headed by a female protagonist. -- A Black Rabbit 10:13, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, trying to make a snake into a weapon would be a total pain in the ass for the designers of the game. Squarenix tried that and even they had to trash it because apparently the animation would be too difficult, and if they found it too hard then it's quite likely that Ubisoft would find it too hard as well. Um... whoever wrote this page seemed to think this arcticle was about the real life Egtptian god Amunet, rather than the female assassin of the in-game world. it doesnt even mention killing Cleopatra with a snake..... it's a really good article though, i would feel bad deleting all that info. (maybe it could go under trivia about the origin of the name?) :( CarloGrimaldi 08:01, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, by killing cleopatra she doomed Egypt to be an opressed province of the roman empire, instead of the rulers of Rome via marcus antonius. This doesn't make any sense. 84.208.220.141 16:09, March 12, 2012 (UTC)bert
the snake itself?
the snake could be a piece of eden, the very same that told adam and eve to steal an apple. maybe it was called "the devil" because those who came before put power into an animal, but because animals have free will, they couldnt control the snake?

Time Period
The Ptolemaic Dynasty is not a time period, it's a ruling caste. The time period in which Amunet lived would be more accurately referred to as the late Hellenistic era, which, coincidentally, her assassination of Cleopatra brought to an end as it resulted in the fall of the last remaining Diadochi kingdom.
