Zeuxo was a Spartan woman who lived in Geronthai during the 5th century BCE.
Biography
Her husband Kalibos had left the village to join the Peloponnesian War and Zeuxo approached Xanthe, the magistrate of Pitana, to specifically ask for an audience with the misthios Kassandra.
After helping Xanthe[1] Kassandra was told that there were others in Lakonia who might use her skills. Xanthe mentioned Zeuxo as having specifically asked to meet Kassandra, but couldn't elaborate.[2]
When Kassandra reached Zeuxo, the woman admired her strong arms, and asked her to deliver a cask of wine to her husband in his camp. Kassandra did as requested.[2]
