Zeus Ephesos is a ruined temple located on a spur of Mount Geraneia near the city of Megara in Megaris, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra reached the ruins, finding them housing bandits. She slew the bandits' leader, freed their captive and claimed their valuables. She also found, at the foot of the bronze statue of Zeus, an ancient tablet.[1]
